Sharing Microcosm. Challenges in uncertain Context
The Studio continues the investigation of the challenges that emerge through housing design in uncertain content. This year the site is the city center of Nicosia and precisely what is called the ‘’triangle’’, the area form between the Old GSP – Makariou Street – Euagorou. The site has undergone a series of rapid and radical changes in economic development, sociodemographic as well as cultural infrastructure.
Students through the analysis and design of respectively the site and a housing unit/complex will come to understand the relationship between, dwelling – space – user, house – context, form – structure, experience – atmosphere as wall as develop both research and representational skills.
